truth

There have been so many people the last few years speaking of truth. Many articles written on truth, both within the more religious publications as well as in secular publications. Many of these are written by people who do not practice even what they write, albeit blindly in many cases! Let’s take a rather concise look at real truth, according to the one that matters most in my personal life, our Heavenly Father and His Son.

First, exactly what IS truth? The sum of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting. (Psalm 119:160). This is indicated many times throughout the scriptures, and is even mentioned in some articles by and for a faith-based community – even communities who do not live according to His words! What is the opposite of truth? Truth is actually quite simple….

We will look at just a few specifics.

  1. YHWH (commonly known as the “Tetragrammaton”) are the letters representing our Heavenly Father’s Name which was taken OUT of His words almost 7,000 times! On top of that, it was replaced with a title, “LORD”! You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of YHWH your Elohim which I command you. (Deuteronomy 4:2). See also Revelation 22:18-19. Anyone can easily verify this by simply reading the forward in most study Bibles!

There are lots of verses on what YHWH (hereafter “YAHWEH”) thinks of His Name and using it, even all the way back in Exodus, But, indeed, for this reason I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My name through all the earth. (Exodus 9:16). It would be good for the reader to look up “proclaim.” Two of the most important verses in scripture regarding His Name are Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking, Here I am.” (Isaiah 52:6). The second is “It will come about in that day," declares YAHWEH, "That you will call Me Ishi [untranslated, translation would be “my husband’] And will no longer call Me Baali [untranslated, translation would be “my LORD/master”’]. (Hosea 2:16). So, this is not difficult—If someone has a name, why would you resist using it? Worse yet, call “Billy” by “Jimmy”?

  2. YAHWEH’S Messiah, His Son—born of the tribe of Judah, yet most call Him by a Greek-Latinized Name? Just let that sink in. If Billy goes to a foreign land, do they call him Jimmy there? Again, think about that. His Messiah, our soon-coming King, would have a “Jewish” Name and He never, ever, ever heard Himself called “Iesous” or “Jesus”! It is truly as simple as that. I might add that He had the same name as Joshua son of Nun which is easily seen by comparing a King James version with most any other version the following two verses: Hebrews 4:8 and Acts 7:45. Of course, there was no “J” back then so the sound would be a “Y.” Again, this is simple truth.

  3. Trinity—the concept of a 3-in-1 deity—does not appear anywhere in Scriptures! The only verse which has been used to support this concept is 1 John 5:7-8, For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. (KJV) It has been proven that the underlined portions are NOT in ANY early manuscripts—i.e., they were added! We read the verse about adding to Scriptures. Again, IT IS NOT IN THE SCRIPTURES! Yet, people still teach and believe in this concept which is only truly found in paganism!

  4. “Holy” Days. Again, this is to look at simple truths and the simple truth is the so-called “holy-days” honored by the world are NOT in scripture or not in a positive light! We will only look at three:

    • “Christmas” - Not only does this NOT appear in scripture but any educated minister, priest, historian will acknowledge the Messiah absolutely, positively was NOT born in the middle of winter! Some will actually say that doesn’t matter! On top of that, we are no where instructed to honor ANY birthday, much less the most important man’s who was ever on earth! A simple truth!

    • “New Years Day” – Though not a “holy” day in and of itself, it is connected to the season. Think about this: “September” comes from the word for 7; “October” comes from the word for 8 (such as “octagon”); November comes from the word for 9; December comes from the word for 10 (which month is it?). On top of that, every four years an extra day is added to February to correct the secular calendar—wouldn’t it make sense to do that at the end of a year? So, if December was the tenth month, January would be 11 and February the 12th—and the extra day would have been added. Again, simple truths. This does prove that once upon a time the secular calendar was closer to our Heavenly Father’s calendar which begins in the spring with new growth.

    • “Easter” – Sadly, this does appear in the King James Bible in Act 12:4, And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. However, and this is extremely important, if you look at the word “Easter,” you will see it should have been translated “Passover” which many versions have corrected. Even the name itself comes from the pagan diety “Ishtar” or “Astarte”!

  5. Books called the “New Testament” – When YAHWEH’s Son and His disciples walked the earth, there not only were no so-called “New Testament” books (primarily the letters), they WOULD NOT BE WRITTEN FOR OVER 10 YEARS AFTER HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION! They all walked, talked and taught from what most folks call the “Old Testament” (hereinafter the “Tanakh”). So when the scriptures say things such as, …the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. (1 John 2:6), one MUST consider “how was He walking”? What day did He rest on? What other days did He observe as special? What foods was He eating or not eating? Simple truths.

Instead, people teach the laws were done away with, changing the Sabbath day to Sunday (again, changing the Almighty’s words). On top of that, they teach these “changes” as being in the letters that were not even published for years after Messiah’s death and resurrection!! Simple truths.

People truly need to stop talking about truth and start reading about truth, and then living the truth. The truth is found in Genesis through Malachi and reinforced in Matthew through Revelation. If our soon-coming King lived the Tanakh, shouldn’t we know what it says? Remember our Father commanded man not to change His words and His Son did not come to do away with any of it as He states in Matthew 5:17, Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. (NOTE: When you “fulfill” your job requirements, do you stop doing them?)

If this article encourages just one individual to pick up their Scriptures, start in Genesis and read in its entirety, HalleluYAH!
