JOEL
Joel is one of the prophetic books although one big difference is there is no mention of any king who would have been ruling during that time period. That is one reason why it has been very difficult to date by the scholars. Some believe Joel was the son of Samuel (mentioned in 1 Samuel 8:2) because "Pethuel" means "vision of El." Many Hebraic names could also be a characteristic as opposed to a name. This is a pretty short book of the Bible, yet is quoted several times in what is known as the "New Testament," Acts 2:22 being one.
